The Second-Annual Rocky Mountain Invitational: Bigger and Better
The second-annual Rocky Mountain Invitational was a huge success, and we couldn't be more pleased with how it went! Five college club teams from Utah and Colorado, along with members of the Utah Masters Swimming community, came together to compete at RMI, filling the two-day meet with record-breaking racing, the opportunity to build more camaraderie in the college club swimming community, and, of course, lots of fun! And, because this meet was our first intercollegiate competition of the season, it served as the first proving ground for our team this year. It was a remarkably strong showing for our team.
This year's Rocky Mountain Invite also added a dive meet for the first time! Divers from the various college club teams competed in both the 1m and 3m diving events on the second day of the meet. This dive meet marked a turning point for our team, truly confirming us as the Utah Club Swimming and Diving Team.
Now, we look forward to the Buff Invitational! It comes at the conclusion of our
semester, so it will serve as a chance to prove ourselves yet again and get those crucial qualifying times for the 2018 College Club Swimming Nationals meet!
