Nationals 2018 Recap
After three long days at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia, University of Utah Club Swimming and Diving took home 27th place overall out of over 110 teams, with the men taking 24th place and the women's team taking 26th place, the best in team history!
Everyone on the team had incredible swims, and even though we were one of the smaller teams at the meet, we were some of the loudest cheerers! Here are some of the highlight races from the meet:
Sam Bagge: 15th place in 200 Freestyle with 2:02.21; 16th place in 100 Freestyle with 55.32
Alina Barnes: 9th place in 400 IM with 4:55.57; 5th place in 500 Freestyle with 5:27.11; 4th place 200 Freestyle with 1:59.03
Connor Morgan: 11th place in 200 Backstroke with 1:55.90; 11th place in 100 Backstroke with 52.11; 9th place in 50 Backstroke with 24.75; 13th place in 100 IM with 53.67
Sam Raber: 16th place in 200 Freestyle with 1:46.62
Nick Skorut: 5th place in 50 Backstroke with 24.30
John Wagner: 20th place in 1000 Freestyle with 10:33.55
This meet was the perfect end to an amazing season, and everyone undoubtedly became much closer and made us even more excited for the 2018-2019 season. We can't wait for the 2019 Nationals at The Ohio State University!
